What To Do If You Don't Have Heat
Is the thermostat set to at least 5 degrees higher than your
current room temperature?
If not, turn up your temperature to at least 5 degrees above
your current room temperature.
Is the system's power switch (Red EMERGENCY switch) set to the
ON position?
If not, flip the power switch to the ON position.
Are all the circuit breakers on?
It is common for a breaker to "trip" (Your circuit breaker box
looks like a metal wall cabinet.)
If not, reset all tripped circuit breakers. If your house has
fuses, are any burned-out? If so, replace them as soon as you
can.
Have you tried pressing and holding the RESET button for 3
seconds?
Try this ONLY ONCE. If the heat does not come on DO NOT PUSH
AGAIN. This could pump too much oil into the combustion chamber.
(Similar to flooding a car engine!)
Is the oil tank at least 1/8 full?
If not, turn off heating system immediately and call for a
delivery (757) 499-5977, option 1.
If you have a furnace (not a boiler), is your air filter clean? A
clogged air filter may cause the system to overheat and shut
down.
Still no heat?
